The InterContinental Auckland IHG Club Lounge in the heart of Commercial Bay offers an unparalleled level of comfort and sophistication, full of distinctive joinery and bespoke luxury. The detail everywhere you look is simply stunning – including the view.
The InterContinental Auckland IHG Club Lounge fitout features beautiful wall cabinets in the seating areas, surrounded by luxurious leather panelling. The cabinetry, incorporating solid European Oak timber, Vida Space Natural Allergo Brushed timber veneer and brass detailing, was custom made by hand by Darian Shaw, one of our apprentices. The result is exceptional, which is why we entered Darian in the 2024 Master Builders Apprentice of the Year. As voted by the industry’s most respected as well as his peers Darian’s craftsmanship was recognised as People’s Choice.
An interior fitout is never the result of just one trade, and we worked closely with Metalwerks for the brass fittings and inlay features, Platinum Benchtops for the solid surface vanities and benchtops and West Auckland Upholstery for the couch and cushions to deliver the stunning end product.
Whilst embracing curves and shapes in joinery we brought Warren and Mahoney’s exceptional IHG Club Lounge curved vanities to life certainly tested our team and had us going back to the drawing board a few times. Our perseverance, innovation and expertise paid off and the result is something we’re incredibly proud of.
The joinery package included all the fixed furniture for the seating areas, kitchen servery and concierge area, as well as bathroom vanities and wall panelling. The level of detail in the design we had to execute was impressive and we used a variety of materials to deliver the desired finish, including brass, Archant Wovenpanel Steel, solid European Oak timber, Vida Space Natural Allergo Brushed timber veneer and Corian Lava Rock solid surface.
