Michael Hill opened their Manawa Bay doors on the September 16th 2024, after Woodland Shopfitting completed the fit out. Our team has built a long-lasting relationship with Michael Hill as we continue to assist Michael Hill in any and all upkeep of all Michael Hill locations New Zealand wide, with the newest addition of Manawa Bay being no different. Our teams have an open and trusting relationship and its why our relationship only keeps strengthening over time.
Michael Hill’s in-house design vision has been brought to life by the Woodland team once again. The beautiful corner retail fit out showcases their new design concept. Spanning 8 weeks, over 1,200 hours were spent by Woodland Shopfitting bringing this space to fruition.
Woodland Shopfitting always enjoys working with Michael Hill, as both teams share similar values making collaboration seamless time and time again. Michael Hill “designs [their products] with care to create something unique, elegant and personal” and the Woodland Shopfitting team shares these same ideals, as our team strives to bring unique, elegant and personal spaces to life with care and an unmatched eye for detail. The collaboration between the talented in-house design team at Michael Hill with our motivated team of joiners has produced a beautifully, thoughtfully crafted space.
Every detail was carefully planned to achieve the sleek and sophisticated energy so critical to achieve the iconic Michael Hill store identity. From the chrome accents to the hanging light troughers, every detail was planned with function and usability in mind. The open ceiling brings a new level of life to the space and the upholstered seating encourages a relaxed retail experience with Michael Hill.
The perfect retail experience has been created by the Woodland Shopfitting team and the Michael Hill team, in which a calm and inviting space has been designed with the consumer in mind. The layout flows around the store seamlessly and the design team has made the most of being a corner tenancy. Using the corner to its highest potential and having two operational entry ways that both provide the same seamless experience due to the store’s relative symmetry. This inviting space has been crafted to allow Michael Hill’s products shine and speak for itself. We know our voice does not need to be the loudest in the room and the understated tones allow for the retail experience to benefit Michael Hill to the highest extent.
Manawa Bay being a live construction site at the time made for a set of hurdles and challenges, where top-notch communication and time management is key! Our team took all the challenges in their stride and their resilience was second to none. The Woodland Shopfitting team ran a smooth, timely fit out for Michael Hill once again. Our experience working with Manawa Bay’s property managers Tailor Inc. was a remarkable experience, and their managerial skills were second to none.
